Bounce Back in the community

Bounce Back continues to seek ways to reach and support some of the hundreds of people that contact us who have already been released. There is so much more we can achieve out of the prison environment and our community presence is gradually increasing.

Our head office and community training hub is in Southwark, London.  Here we deliver training in Painting and Decorating as well as bespoke support including employability skills, CSCS cards, CV’s and general employment support.

The need to engage with local residents, in particular those who are most marginalised in our communities, has been raised by the London Boroughs and working with them and their local employment engagement teams means that our Community Training Centre operating at grass roots level can be used as conduit of engagement and service delivery. We can also work in partnership with all local services including other training providers offering pre-employment and support services, Job Centre Plus, Youth Services and others in addition to continuing our support to ex-offenders who have been released back into the community.
Amongst the courses we have delivered are furniture upcycling and construction related upskilling. We are also proud to work with Crisis as well as a number of other homeless organisations. Over the past year, we have also worked with Hopkinson House and St Martins’ in the Field to initiate simple skills training programmes that help small learning groups to develop their prospects while in hostels.

Additionally we are heavily involved in our local community where we work with numerous other social enterprises, local councils and local businesses.
